Art of the Flower Juried Exhibition

In late February I sent in an application with the hopes to exhibit my oil painting, Springtime Azaleas with Medford Arts Center's Art of the Flower Juried Exhibition in Medford, NJ. I am overjoyed to announce it was accepted into the show and is currently on display in their gallery.

To be able to exhibit in Medford Arts Center's gallery, accepted work had to be hand-delivered. It was important to me to have my work displayed in the gallery. It is a different experience seeing art in person versus online. (All work is displayed on the gallery's website). So, being based in northern NJ, I made the 2 hour trek south to Medford. I had never been to this area of New Jersey, but it is beautiful - it is characterized by farms as far as you can see and a charming old downtown area with boutiques, the beginning of which is where Medford Arts Center is located. In my opinion, well worth the drive.

When I arrived to drop off my painting, I ended up meeting and talking to Exhibition Co-Chair and show participant, Susan Barnes. She graciously showed me around the gallery, which hosts classes, sells handmade items such as jewelry and textiles, and displays work from local artists of all media. She has three paintings in the Art of the Flower Exhibition, one of which came in third place!

This exhibition was open to all sorts of media and there are some very beautiful artworks on display. This exhibition will be up until April 7th. All works are for sale through Medford Arts Center and can be purchased through their website. Click here to view the show.
